This work is part of dual EPs titled Turn it On & Turn It Off comprised of choice tracks culled from a live performance. These hardware jams are left raw and are meant as DJ tools for sweaty dance floors. They possess all the fresh unexpected improvisational twists and turns moments combined with a dedicated rhythmic framework fit for any dark floor. Mastered with with lethal doses of sub-octave bass pressure that will indeed turn it out on any proper rig. While each of the 8 individual tracks forge their own path and will surely find themselves sitting pretty in a variety of endlessly mixable moments, the combined transmission as a solid whole is equal parts experiments in audio expressionism, beat programming possibilities, and straight-up jack your body music for the people. They are the start of Matthew's sonic journey and meant to showcase the roots of and raw feeling that have drawn him to production. The second EP drops in December.
